Maracaibo Oil Brat

Prize-winning author Susan McClurg Berman writes about her experiences as a gawky too-tall preteen suddenly plunged into always-hot Maracaibo during the late 1950s and early 1960s after her father accepted a transfer from Orange, Texas to work in the Venezuelan oil fields.
